William Hammesfahr, MD
Dr. Hammesfahr is a Board Certified Neurologist. His training was in both Neurosurgery and Neurology. Dr. Hammesfahr developed new techniques to restore blood flow into damaged areas of the brain which allows the damage to recover. The Florida Board of Medicine determined that he "is the first physician to successfully restore deficits caused by stroke." As stroke damage occurs as a part of many neurological diseases on either a macro or a microscopic scale, Dr. Hammesfahr's approach has been found applicable to a wide range of conditions. Medicare and other agents for the Federal Government found that his technique was useful and "medically necessary" to treat Dementia, Stroke, Concussion, Traumatic Brain Injury, Learning Disabilities, and several other related conditions. They further found that his technique was effective in improving patients with recent diagnoses as well as others who were considered to have "permanent" injuries. The Federal Government awarded Dr. Hammesfahr a Patent for his discoveries. |
